Recently, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ahajournals.org\/doi\/full\/10.1161\/CIR.0000000000000444\"><span class=\"s2\"><b>scientific research <\/b><\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\">backed by the American Heart Association (AHA) has brought renewed attention to the relationship between sleep and heart health. Sleep duration, mostly short sleep, and sleep disorders have emerged as being related to adverse cardiometabolic risk, including obesity, hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and cardiovascular disease.\u00a0The AHA\u2019s findings indicate that treating those with sleep disorders may be helpful to your heart. To that end, The AHA has released a statement recommending at least 7 hours of sleep per night for adults can help \u201cto promote optimal health\u201d.
