Meet the Intern
Meet Allison, our Fall 2017 intern. She is a senior at Middle Tennessee State University and is double majoring in Advertising and Spanish with a minor in Business Administration. Allison was initially an undeclared student when she began studying at MTSU, but her interest in communication and culture lead her to pursue both advertising and Spanish. Her strengths include copy writing, editing, content, and more. Allison is hoping to gain agency experience and insight to the advertising industry that can’t necessarily be taught in the classroom as well as learn the applications of her advertising coursework. She is interested in pursuing a career in advertising copywriting after graduation (especially bilingual Spanish copywriting!) and would like to one day be a creative director.
Allison is also a member of Kappa Tau Alpha Honor Society and the secretary of the East Main 214 Christian Center. She is originally from McMinnville, Tennessee and she was part of the top 10% of Warren County High School’s Class of 2015. During her junior and senior years, she completed the majority of her general education requirements through dual enrollment at the McMinnville campus of Motlow State Community College. She holds Girl Scout Gold Award, was a member of National Honor Society and Beta Club, and represented Warren County High School as part of the archery and tennis teams.
Another passion of Allison’s is mission work. She has participated in evangelistic campaigns as a team member and translator for Young Evangelistic Servants or YES II which is a part of Latin American Missions. She has been on missions to Costa Rica and Panama and plans to continue working with Latin American Missions and YES II in the future.
Her other hobbies and interests include travel, photography, reading, and more. Allison currently lives in Murfreesboro, but frequently visits her home in McMinnville to spend time with her family, including her dog, Queenie, and cat, Kit Kat.
